Comms Hub
Keep all team communication in one place — threaded conversations, direct messages, emoji reactions, and thread management so nothing gets lost between game-day emails and text chains.
Creating a team thread
Go to Comms Hub in the sidebar. Click New Thread and choose the thread type:
- 1Select Team Thread to broadcast to everyone on the active team (including parents with portal access).
- 2Enter a subject — this is the thread title visible in the thread list.
- 3Type your initial message in the body.
- 4Click Start Thread.
All team members receive an email notification with a link to the thread. They can reply directly from Comms Hub or from the player portal.
Creating a direct message thread
Click New Thread → Direct Message. Use the recipient selector to find and add one or more people by name or email. Type your message and click Send. Direct message threads are private — only the people you select can see them.
Direct messages are useful for one-on-one conversations with a parent, or a quick check-in with your assistant coach without cluttering the team-wide channel.
Sending messages and replies
Open any thread to see the message history in chronological order. Type in the reply box at the bottom and press Enter or click Send to post your message.
Threaded replies let you respond to a specific message rather than the thread as a whole. Hover over any message to reveal the action bar, then click Reply. Your reply appears indented below the original message, keeping the conversation context clear even in busy threads.
Reactions
Hover over any message to reveal the action bar and click the emoji icon to open the reaction picker. Select an emoji to react to the message. Reactions are visible to everyone in the thread and show who reacted when you hover over them. This is a lightweight way for parents to acknowledge a message without cluttering the thread with "OK" and "Thanks" replies.
Pinning, muting, and archiving threads
From the thread list, click the three-dot menu (⋯) on any thread to access management options:
- —Pin — keeps the thread at the top of your thread list for quick access. Use this for important ongoing threads like "Season schedule" or "Uniform orders".
- —Mute — stops email notifications for this thread without removing you from it. You'll still see new messages when you open Comms Hub.
- —Archive — moves the thread out of the main list into the archive. Archived threads are still searchable and accessible, just out of the way. Use this for past season threads you no longer need daily.
Unread badge
The Comms Hub navigation link shows a green badge with a count of unread messages across all your threads. Opening a thread marks all its messages as read. The badge also appears in the mobile drawer nav when you have unread messages.
