Team
Teams
Create and manage your teams, configure team details, and understand how the active team switcher keeps everything organized when you coach more than one squad.
Creating a team
Go to Teams in the sidebar and click New Team. The team creation form has three sections:
- 1Team Info — Enter the team name (e.g. "FC Riverside U14 Boys"), the sport, and the age group. These fields appear throughout the app wherever your team is referenced.
- 2Jersey Colors — Pick a primary and secondary color using the color pickers. A live jersey SVG preview updates in real time so you can visualize how the kit will look before saving.
- 3Team Imagery (optional, collapsible) — Upload a team badge or crest image. Supported formats: SVG, PNG, JPG. The badge appears on the team card and certain lineup exports.
Click Create Team when ready. Your new team becomes the active team automatically.
Switching the active team
The active team is the team all other sections of TactixFlow operate on. Players, matches, lineups, fields, and communications are all scoped to the active team.
To switch teams, click the team name in the header bar at the top of every page. A dropdown lists all your teams. Select one and the page will reload in the context of that team. The switcher is always visible on desktop. On mobile, it's accessible from the hamburger menu.
TactixFlow remembers your active team between sessions using a secure browser cookie, so you won't need to switch every time you log in.
Editing team details
From the Teams list, click on a team card to open its detail view, then click Edit Team. All three sections (Team Info, Jersey Colors, Team Imagery) are editable. Changes to jersey colors take effect immediately in the lineup editor and player displays.
One active team at a time
TactixFlow is designed around this single-team-context model intentionally. Rather than showing a jumble of data from all your teams at once, every screen shows clean, focused data for one team. This reduces cognitive load during match-day prep when you need information fast.
The dashboard does surface a summary across all your teams (total players, upcoming matches), but the detailed views — lineups, player roster, match schedule — always operate in single-team mode. Switch teams in seconds using the header dropdown whenever you need to context-switch.
