Getting started with TactixFlow
Get your coaching operation up and running in minutes. This guide walks you through creating your account, setting up your first team, and understanding the core concepts that make TactixFlow tick.
Step 1 — Create your account
Head to tactixflow.com and click Get started free. You can register with your email address and a password, or sign in instantly using your Google account. Once you confirm your email, you'll land on the onboarding flow.

- 3If registering with email, check your inbox for a verification link.
- 4Click the link to confirm your email and activate your account.
Step 2 — Complete the onboarding checklist
After signup, TactixFlow walks you through a five-step setup checklist. You can access it anytime by clicking Complete Setup in the left navigation sidebar. The checklist tracks your progress through these milestones:
- ✓Create a team — name, sport, age group, and jersey colors.
- ✓Add players — roster entries with positions and jersey numbers.
- ✓Schedule a match — opponent, date, time, and location.
- ✓Create a lineup — drag players onto the pitch.
- ✓Schedule a practice — add a training event to your calendar.
Once all five are complete, the Complete Setup link disappears from the nav and your dashboard unlocks its full feature set.
Step 3 — Create your first team
Go to Teams in the sidebar and click New Team. Fill in the team name, sport, age group, and choose your jersey colors using the live color picker — you'll see a real-time jersey preview as you select primary and secondary colors. Once saved, your new team becomes the active team.
Step 4 — Add your players
With your team created, head to Players in the sidebar. Click Add Player and fill in each player's first name, last name, jersey number, position, and date of birth. You can also add a player contact with their email address so they can receive notifications and access the player portal.
Understanding the active team switcher
TactixFlow is built around the concept of one active team at a time. The team switcher lives in the top header bar, right next to the TactixFlow logo. Every page — players, matches, lineups, fields, comms — shows data scoped to whichever team is currently active.
If you coach multiple teams, simply click the team dropdown and select a different team. The page will reload in the context of the newly selected team. Your data is always fully separated between teams — players, lineups, and matches belong to one team only.
