Browsing the drill library
Click Training Studio in the sidebar to open the drill library. Drills are organized into categories that match common training focus areas:
- —Warm-up & Activation — dynamic stretches, rondos, and possession games to open a session.
- —Passing & Receiving — combination play, one-touch patterns, and possession sequences.
- —Dribbling & 1v1 — individual skill work, ball mastery, and attacking duel scenarios.
- —Finishing & Shooting — shooting from range, combination goals, crossing and heading.
- —Defending — pressure, cover, and balance principles, compactness, and recovery runs.
- —Small-Sided Games — SSGs from 3v3 to 8v8 with defined objectives and constraints.
- —Set Pieces — corners, free kicks, throw-ins, and penalty situations.
- —Goalkeeper — diving, distribution, aerial work, and sweeping.
Use the category tabs at the top of the library to filter by type, or use the search bar to find drills by name or keyword (e.g. "rondo", "pressing", "finishing").
What each drill card shows
Each drill card in the library displays key information at a glance:
- —Drill name — the name of the exercise.
- —Duration — recommended time in minutes (e.g. 10 min, 15 min).
- —Intensity — low, medium, or high. Useful for structuring session load.
- —Player count — minimum and maximum players needed (e.g. 8–16 players).
- —Short description — one to two sentences describing the objective and setup.
Click on any drill card to open the full detail view, which includes:
- ✓A full written description with setup instructions, coaching points, and common variations.
- ✓An animated SVG pitch diagram that illustrates player movements, passing sequences, and positioning in real time.
- ✓Equipment list (cones, balls, bibs, goals).
- ✓Key coaching points to emphasize during the drill.
Printing or saving a drill
On any drill detail page, click Print Drill to open a print-optimized version of the drill card — perfect for bringing a physical reference to training. The printout includes the drill name, setup instructions, the pitch diagram (static for printing), coaching points, and equipment list.
You can also bookmark any drill by clicking the bookmark icon on the drill card. Bookmarked drills appear in your Saved Drills tab at the top of the library, so you can quickly find your go-to exercises without scrolling through the full library each time.
Building a session plan
Training Studio makes it easy to structure a full training session. While browsing drills, click Add to Session on any drill to include it in your current session plan. The session plan panel (accessible from the toolbar) shows your selected drills in order with their durations.
- 1Add a warm-up drill (10–15 min, low intensity).
- 2Add two or three technical or tactical drills (10–20 min each, medium intensity).
- 3Add a small-sided game to apply the session theme in a match-realistic context (15–20 min, high intensity).
- 4Add a cool-down or tactical debrief activity (5–10 min, low intensity).
The session plan totals up the estimated time automatically, so you can see at a glance whether the session fits your available training window. Reorder drills by dragging them within the plan. Click Save Session to name and store the plan for future use.
